“Toronto’s Sweetheart” Jamie Hoffeldt Among Eight Competing for Last Spot

AFRICANEWSWIRE.NET (August, 13 2012) Jamie Hoffeldt, known as “Toronto’s Sweetheart” is among eight dancers chosen to compete for the last spot on the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak. Jamie is now competing in the Raptors Pick the Pak Contest and the Raptors fans and the public at large can vote online in this contest from August 9 through August 30.

Jamie recently competed for a spot on the Dance Pak with almost 200 other girls and was selected for a spot in the top eight. She is now is the final phase of reaching her dream of joining the Dance Pak but needs her fans and the public to push her over the top. Voting is easy. The voting is taking place on the Raptor’s website www.raptors.com. Each person can only vote once a day but they can vote every day during the August 9-30 period. Every vote also enters the voter to win great prizes like courtside seats to the raptors game.

Jamie is asking for votes based on her passion for dance and her desire to join the Dance Pak. She has been dancing since she was 2 but it wasn’t until much later when she became a member of the UWO cheerleading team that she fell in love with using her talents and love of dance to support a team. She took that passion to college and was part of the Western Dance Pak when that group was chosen to represent the London Lightning Basketball team as the “Lightning Bolts.” When asked what it would be like to be a part of the Raptors dance Pak Jamie said. “I can only imagine the emotions I would experience representing the Raptors at the ACC consequently the thought of being a member of the Raptors Dance Pak has completely consumed my thoughts since the audition. I have dreamed of owning a dance studio for as long as I can remember and I believe this opportunity will bring me one step closer to achieving my dream. I will offer the Raptors Dance Pak my talent, maturity and passion which will allow the fans management and players be proud to have me as a member of the team acting as an ambassador in any capacity they ask.”

Jamie’s passion, talent and maturity make her a natural fit for the Raptors Dance Pak, but now its up to the fans and the public. Jamie’s qualifications for the Dance Pak are numerous:

2012 Selected to Represent the London Lightning NBL Team as a Lightning Bolt Dancer 2012- Selected to Coach University of Western Ontario’ Dance Pak 2011 – Starred on Rogers TV show “Producing the Pak” 2009- Won CheerSport National Championship in Co-Ed Level 6 with University of Western Ontario’s Cheerleading team. 2009- Won Canadian Cheerleading National Championship 2005- Selected to Perform on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line with AB Dance Team
