Chris John Albano Announces Oscar Mike LLC's Organization of Run for the Fallen

AFRICANEWSWIRE.NET (March, 10 2012) Chris John Albano, a cofounder of Oscar Mike LLC, has announced that his company will be assisting in the planning and organization of the 2012 Run for the Fallen, a unique charity run that will start in California and span 3,200 miles to Ground Zero in New York City. Every participant is encouraged to run at least 1 mile in commemoration of a fallen service member. Although the run marks one of many charity races that is designed to honor the sacrifices made by our nation's heroes, Run for the Fallen is different because it gives communities and states all around the country the opportunity to participate.

When asked why Oscar Mike chose to aid in the organization and promotion of this year's Run for the Fallen, Chris stated: “Being that I lived only a few blocks from the World Trade Center on September 11, I saw the devastating effects of the attack in person, as well as the heroics acts of New York City's firefighters and policemen. I felt this would be a good way to commemorate those fallen heroes who lost their lives while saving others."

In addition, Chris says that his partner, the other cofounder of Oscar Mike, First Sergeant Eddie Lima, felt compelled to sponsor and host the event due to the fact that his son was severely injured during a roadside ambush in Afghanistan. Eddie is a retired veteran that served as a Special Forces Army Ranger for 20-years, and is deeply committed to helping injured veterans and the families of fallen heroes obtain financial, social, and emotional assistance.

Christopher John Albano and Eddie Lima founded Oscar Mike as a way to increase awareness about how the private sector could contribute towards helping our country's retired, injured, and fallen service members. So far the organization has managed to raise $5000 in charity funds, and expects to significantly exceed this amount during the coming year. Aside from organizing the Run for the Fallen, Oscar Mike will be hosting and sponsoring several 5 kilometer and 10 kilometer charity runs this year.
