Icegripper.co.uk, UK based specialist retailer of ice grips , ice cleats and personal traction products which prevent user slipping on winter ice and snow is bucking the trend and increasing its European business and integration. Andrea Kilbourne, Commercial Director said “We have had so many orders and enquiries from EU countries we have enabled our website for € euro payment and increased our postal capacity across all Eurozone countries to make shopping easier for our European based customers”

Within hours of € euro payment being made available, orders were coming in from a number of Eurozone countries. One of the first customers to take advantage of the service was Lorraine McHugh from Ireland. She said “It was great that I was able to pay in € euros despite it being a UK site. It couldn't have been easier. The € euro price was clear at all times for both the ice grips and the postage. So there was no trying to work it out or waiting for my credit card bill to see how much I had actually paid”

So what motivated the team at ICEGRIPPER to risk making investment in accepting the € euro against the backdrop of media hysteria about the currency? “Immaterial what the media says people have to continue with their lives, mums have to get kids to school, people have to get to work and everyone still has to go out to the shops.
