The notes consist in the tranches of $1 billion of 0.875% notes due September 25, 2013, $1.75 billion of 1.625% notes due September 25, 2015, $1 billion of 3.000% notes due October 1, 2020 and $1 billion of 4.500% notes due October 1, 2040.

The company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include funding for working capital, capital expenditures, repurchases of stock and acquisitions. The offering is expected to close on September 27, 2010.

Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) dropped 0.65% to $21.53 on over 36.04 million shares. Cisco Systems, Inc. designs, manufactures and sells Internet protocol (IP)-based networking and other products related to the communications and information technology (IT) industry, and provides services associated with these products and their use.

Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) rose 1.09% to $8.38 on over 20.99 million shares. Motorola, Inc. provides technologies, products and services for mobile phones. Its portfolio includes wireless handsets, wireless accessories, digital entertainment devices, set-top boxes and video distribution systems, analog and digital two-way radios, wireless and wireline broadband network products, and end-to-end enterprise mobility products.

After opening today`s trade at $8.19, the stock traded within the range of $8.16-$8.41. At current market price, the market capitalization of the stock stands at $19.56 billion.
